DAY 01: CUSCO – LARES – WACAWASI.

At the designated time, our group will be picked up from your hotel by a representative of our travel company.
Then our bus will take us to the small town of Lares that will take us approximately 3 hours. During the bus trip we will pass through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, beautiful villages and the scenery along the road is spectacular. Arriving at the village of Lares, we will visit the thermal waters to enjoy an excellent relaxation and here we will have our delicious lunch, after lunch we will begin to walk towards the small community of Wacawasi, place where we will spend our first night of camping. In this beautiful place we will already be in contact with the inhabitants of this ecological soil.
The trek will take us about 3 hours and the route is flat. On arrival we will take a good rest in our tents and then we will gather for our dinner to be under the interminable stars.

DAY 02: WACAWASI – IPSAY PASS – PATACANCHA.

On this second day, we will get up early for breakfast and then start climbing up a steep road to the highest point of our Abra Ipsay tour, from where we will have spectacular views of the pitusiray, sawasiray and veronica snows, we will also enjoy the most Amazing Andean landscapes, as we will walk along huge mountain slopes and through small agricultural areas, where the natives still employ traditional ways of life, a place where Spanish is their second language and where Andean men continue Living in harmony with Mother Nature. We will stop in a good place for lunch, then we will begin to descend towards Patacancha, place where we will spend our second night accompanied with the villagers a small village pure Quechua.

Ipsay Pass: 4.350 masl /14.435 feet

DAY 03: PATACANCHA – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES.

On this day, we will have to wake up very early, after breakfast we will continue the descent passing the community of Willoq, colorful villages that stand out for preserving a living culture, a natural area where Andean families continue to produce their own clothes, raise their own animals And believe in their own gods. After a walk of about 4 hours, we will arrive to the town of Ollantaytambo, place of our lunch and later we will have free time to explore this great Inca settlement that can still be seen inhabited to the Incas precincts. In the afternoon we will take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu village), where we will spend our third night in a chosen lodging establishment. Aguas Calientes is a small and modern city where we can find all the comforts such as: internet, restaurants, bars, ATMs and souvenir shops.

Ollantaytambo altitude: 2790 masl / 9151 feet
Machupicchu town (Aguas Calientes): 2050 masl / 6720 feet

DAY 04: VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU – RETURN TO CUSCO

After breakfast, we will start to climb to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, walking or bus (optional), It is a good idea to go early, as there are not many people and being in the Inka city in the early hours of the morning is magical as: To receive the first rays of the sun, to see the inka city without people and to see the steep mountains to born of the clouds, that is to be in contact with the spirit and the Andean world. Once here, we will have our guided tour of 2 hours touring the most important points and then have free time to explore own account and climb to the mountains as: huaynapicchu, machupicchu (optional) and sun gate that is included in all Tickets or you can also do meditations since this place is called as one of the most energetic spots on earth. Later, we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will have free time for lunch and also where we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and from here by bus to Cusco.

Machupicchu: 2450msnm / 8036 feet
By bus from aguas calientes – machupicchu – hot waters (optional): 25 minutes up or down
Walking: 1 hour and 30 minutes, 1700 meters of route
